Terms of service

aitextdetectly.xyz is operated by Mohammed Ajaz Gazi, an individual sole proprietor based in Parbhani, Maharashtra, India. These terms are an agreement between you and the operator ("we", "us") for your use of aitextdetectly.xyz, its dashboard, and its API (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What the service does

aitextdetectly estimates how likely it is that a piece of writing was generated by AI. The results are statistical estimates, not proof, and they can be wrong in either direction. Don't treat a score as the only basis for an academic, legal, employment, or disciplinary decision. Always have a person review the writing and the context.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. Give us accurate information, keep your password and API keys secret, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person may not open several free accounts to get around its limits.

Plans and billing

The free plan includes a limited number of scans per day. Paid plans (Plus and Pro) are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the prices shown on our pricing section when you subscribe. Each plan's scan, word, and length limits are listed there too. Unused allowance does not roll over.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. When you subscribe you also agree to Dodo Payments' buyer terms, shown at checkout. Prices are in US dollars; applicable sales tax or VAT is added at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged the prorated difference; downgrades take effect on your next billing date. If we change a plan's price, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before then. If a payment fails, your plan may be paused or moved to Free until it succeeds.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel any time from Account → Billing. Refunds and cancellation are covered by our refund and cancellation policy, which is part of these terms.

Your content

You keep all rights to the text you submit. You give us permission to process it only to run the scan you asked for, which includes sending it to our detection provider. We don't keep your text or results after the scan, and we don't use them to train models; see our privacy policy. Only submit text you have the right to analyze.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or submit content that infringes someone else's rights;
  • get around plan limits, rate limits, or security, including by creating extra accounts or sharing an account or API key beyond your plan's seats;
  • overload, scrape, or attack the service, or reverse engineer it to build a competing product;
  • resell or redistribute access to the service without our written permission;
  • use the service to test or tune text so that AI-generated writing avoids detection, or to help anyone misrepresent who wrote something.

Pro workspaces and API

A Pro owner can invite other people to share the plan's seats and allowance, and is responsible for how those seats and any API keys are used. API responses are subject to the same limits and terms as the dashboard.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or is used for fraud. If we close a paid account without cause, we will refund the unused part of the current period.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result is accurate. AI writing changes quickly, and so do detection signals.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, including any loss caused by relying on a detection result. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute about them or the service will be handled by the courts of Parbhani, Maharashtra, India. If you use the service as a consumer, this does not take away any right you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live, including the right to bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the new version here with a new date, and for material changes we will also email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
