The text you scan
When you paste or upload writing, it is sent to our detection provider, TypeSafe, to run that one request. We do not keep a copy of your text or the result, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models. Text you type on the homepage before signing in is held in your browser's session storage only until it is handed to the detector.
Your account
You sign in with Google or with an email and password. We store your name and email address (and, with Google, the profile picture Google shares with us), plus your plan, remaining credits, and any workspace you own or joined. Passwords and API keys are stored only as one-way hashes, never in readable form. If you invite someone to a workspace, we store their email address with the invite.
Account emails (confirming your address and resetting your password) are sent through Resend, which receives your email address and the message for that purpose only.
A session cookie keeps you signed in. With each session we record the IP address and browser user agent, which we use to keep accounts secure.
Payments
Subscriptions are sold by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which processes payment and handles sales tax and VAT. We never see your card details. Dodo tells us your plan, subscription status, and renewal date so we can apply your limits.
Your browser
Fonts and images are served from our own domain. The only third-party request while you browse is your Google profile picture, shown in the header when you are signed in. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser and never leaves your device.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. This removes your account, credits, API keys, and workspace data, and cancels any active subscription.
