AI Detection
AI detector pricing compared: Originality, Winston, Pangram, and aitextdetectly
List prices, monthly word allowances, and cost per 10,000 words for four AI detectors, checked on each vendor's pricing page in September 2026.
AI detector prices are hard to compare because every vendor counts differently: credits, words, scans, or seats. Below, each plan is converted to the same terms. Every figure comes from the vendor’s own pricing page, checked on September 24, 2026. Prices change, so check the vendor’s page before you buy.
We make one of the four tools compared here, so we’ve kept the comparison to numbers each vendor publishes.

What the tables don’t show
Our plans cap scans as well as words: Plus includes up to 2,000 scans a month of up to 50,000 characters each, and Pro up to 2,500 scans of up to 100,000 characters. If you run many very short scans, the scan cap is the one you’ll reach first.
The other three tools include plagiarism checking, which we don’t offer. If you need both in one place, that may settle it.
Detection quality differs between tools too, and we haven’t found an independent benchmark that tests all four on the same texts, so we can’t give you a fair accuracy comparison. Pangram’s site states a false-positive rate of 1 in 10,000; we haven’t verified that figure.
Which fits
- If you need plagiarism checking as well, choose one of the other three.
- If you check a lot of text and want the lowest price per word, our Plus and Pro plans cost the least per 10,000 words in these tables.
- If you need an API on a small budget, Winston Advanced and our Pro plan both include one for under $30 a month.
- If you want to try before paying, three of the four have a free daily allowance, and Winston offers a 14-day trial.
